Jennifer Shields, MD is a board-eligible specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Burlington OBGYN Associates in Burlington, Massachusetts, and Nova Women's Health in North Reading, Massachusetts. Dr. Shields is renowned for her comprehensive expertise in all facets of obstetrics and gynecology, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic surgeries. Her passion lies in offering personalized care to individuals of all ages, addressing a diverse range of health needs.
Dr. Shields earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, magna cum laude, from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. She then pursued her Doctor of Medicine degree at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. Following her medical education, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. During her residency, Dr. Shields was honored with several accolades, including Resident Teacher of the Year and awards for Excellence in Obstetrics, Family Planning, and Outpatient Care.
She is an active member of both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association, staying current with the latest advancements and best practices in her field.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Shields cherishes time spent with her family, friends, and beloved pets.
